This is from a story at Drudge, about John Kerry's '72 comments about the troops. He claimed in 1972, that a volunteer army would be a disaster (an "anathema" in his words) because it would be made up of the "poor and the black and the brown."
Yet a quick look at our armed forces today reveals that this is (startingly) not true. Many caucasian people are in the armed forces, as are members of the middle and upper class. And yes, the army is all volunteer. This is just another prediction of Kerry gone wrong.
So, the only alternative is that John Kerry supports a non-volunteer army, or a conscripted army. Either that or (as is likely the case), John Kerry's position about anything is totally unclear - as has been the case in the past. Remember: He was against the troops before he was for them.
Even the man's flip-flopping is flip-flopped. It is a good thing he isn't our president. Could you imagine someone this incompetent, and this indecisive leading our country in a time of war?
